Over the course of two weeks, campers will participate in engaging daily
sessions covering various aspects of barbering:
– Week 1: Introduction to Barbering
– Day 1: Discover the history of barbering and explore essential tools.
– Day 2: Learn about safety, hygiene practices, and the importance of cleanliness.
– Day 3: Develop basic scissor skills through fun activities.
– Day 4: Get hands-on experience with clippers and different cutting techniques.
– Day 5: Understand various hair types and their unique styling needs.
Week 2: Practical Skills and Creativity
– Day 6: Learn simple haircut techniques and practice on mannequin heads.
– Day 7: Explore basic styling techniques and use of hair products.
– Day 8: Discover safe coloring methods and create fun hair designs.
– Day 9: Practice customer interaction and communication skills.
– Day 10: Showcase skills in a final project, styling a mannequin and presenting to peers.
At the end of the summer, campers will have the opportunity to participate in the Kidz Barber Competitions! This exciting event will allow campers to demonstrate the skills they’ve learned throughout the program, showcasing their creativity and confidence in front of friends, family, and a panel of judges. Participants will compete for fun prizes and recognition in various categories, making it a memorable conclusion to their barbering journey!
